Submitting FAQ

Why should I submit my own teaching materials?

There are numerous answers to this question. Let us put forward just a few of them:

  • You help the ESL / EFL community.
  • The more you give, the more you get in return. Some like to call it “karma”, others say it’s “collaborative effort”. In practice, it means that when you submit your materials you set a good example for others and you can expect them to do the same.
  • You expose your work for evalution. By using comments other teachers can give you hints about what they like about your work and how it can be improved.

I’m not sure about the quality of my private worksheets.

Be assured. Most of the private worksheets are much better than “indsutry made” materials because they’re tailor-made.

Besides, eslhandouts.com is a user-driven website. It means that it is the end user who decide what they want. Facilities such as:

  • popularity contest,
  • most commented materials,
  • the keyword system

help users decide what is worth their attention and what isn’t.

Can I submit country-specific resources?

Yes. Country-specific materials (e.g. translation exercises) will be duly tagged with keywords i.e. French, Spanish, Polish, Chinese, Taiwanese etc.

Just make sure you let us know what language they use!

Are there any restrictions?

Yes, but they are extremely easy to fulfil.

Make sure the materials you want to upload:

  • are reasonably free of typos and spelling mistakes
  • are not copyright.

Why didn’t my materials get published?

There are a number of reasons why we reject materials. For example, we will never accept

  • full scanned coursebooks,
  • materials that are explicitly taken from other websites,
  • materials that are of low linguistic quality.

Who owns the materials hosted at eslhandouts.com?

The materials belong to their respective owners. Elshandouts.com takes no credit, nor is responsible for them.
